Former Australia skipper Ian Chappell has raised questions over ICC awarding the Test status to the associate members, by saying that there needs to be certain criteria considered before a country is granted Test status, as reported by ESPNCricinfo.
In his columns for ESPNCricinfo, Ian Chappell expressed concerns about associate members being given Test status without meeting any criteria. He further stated that the idea of a two-tier Test system has been a topic of discussion to enhance the format's popularity.
