KL Rahul has always relished the challenge of opening the innings, and following his second century of the series, the elegant Indian opener shed light on the meticulous work he undertook to sharpen his reaction time, guided by performance coaches with experience in Formula 1. 

His discipline in leaving deliveries outside off-stump and his ability to play the ball late have served him particularly well in the testing English conditions.
