Delhi Capitals openers Prithvi Shaw and Shikhar Dhawan made short work of Chennai Super Kings’ 188-7 as they kicked off their Indian Premier League campaign with a dominating seven-wicket win at the Wankhede Stadium on Saturday.

Shaw slammed 38-ball 72 (9x4, 3x6) while southpaw Dhawan slammed 85 off 54 balls (10x4, 2x6) as Delhi Capitals completed the chase with eight balls to spare. Shaw and Dhawan scored 65 runs in the first powerplay overs and never really looked back.
