The Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) received a bomb threat email on Friday, warning of an imminent bomb attack at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi. The threat is allegedly a retaliatory response to 'Operation Sindoor', a recent military campaign undertaken by Indian armed forces against terror camps in Pakistan.
According to a senior DDCA official who spoke with IANS, the email stated: “There will be a bomb blast in your stadium. We have a committed Pakistan sleeper cell active in India. The blast will be our revenge of Operation Sindoor.” Following the receipt of the email, authorities promptly filed a police complaint and security measures were heightened around the stadium.
