In the IPL 2026 auction, Prithvi Shaw`s name came with a base price of Rs 75 lakh. However, despite the low price tag, the bidding room stayed silent as the right-handed batsman went unsold in the auction.

This is the second consecutive time that Shaw failed to find any bidders. Earlier, Delhi Capitals (DC) released him ahead of the 2025 edition and had previously acquired his services for Rs 6 crore.
