South Africa's explosive batsman Heinrich Klaasen on Monday announced his retirement from the longest format of the game. He is known for his powerful strokes in the limited-overs format and has played just four test matches for South Africa.

After Dean Elgar, Heinrich Klaasen is the second senior South African to retire from Test cricket. Elgar's test career came to an end against India in the two-match test series which ended in a 1-1 draw.
