Despite an underwhelming pre-season, Tottenham Hotspur boss Thomas Frank was optimistic of his side’s chances in the Super Cup final against Paris Saint-Germain.

Spurs come into Wednesday’s clash having lost 0-4 to Bayern Munich after a 1-1 draw against Newcastle United. While admitting PSG will not be an easy opponent to overcome, the Danish manager sounded quietly optimistic.

“It’s a fantastic challenge to have in the first game but, of course, we believe in ourselves. We’re going to a final and there will be one objective — try to win it. We don’t see it as a test; we see it as two good teams against each other, and we want to come out on top,” said Frank.
