Jockey A Sandesh, after his successful mercy petition plea, will return to the saddle on Sunday, and is engaged to ride seven runners on a bumper, ten-race card sponsored by Zavaray S Poonawalla. The CN Wadia Gold Cup (gr 2) is the feature event of the evening card, and Sandesh would have sufficiently acclimatized by the time this event will be run. It is, therefore, expected that he will be able to do full justice to the Faisal Abbas-trained Thalassa, a prime contender based on the last run, and will most likely win the feature event.
