DM Sports Sixth seed Abdul Rahman of Uttar Pradesh stunned fourth seed Zaheer Pasha of Reserve Bank of India to win the men’s singles title at the 49th LIC of India-Senior National Carrom Championship at the Shree Halari Visa Oswal Samaj Hall, Dadar, recently. Rahman beat the experienced Pasha 25-0, 21-16 to clinch his maiden national title. 

In the women’s competition, fifth seed Kajal Kumari of PSPB beat fourth seed Nilam Ghodke of Jain Irrigation 15-12, 17-10. Mantasha Iqbal beat Debagani Tamuly 8-25, 19-15, 22-11 to win third place among the women while Sandeep Dive beat Prashant More 25-19, 18-1 to clinch third place among men.
