A statewide drive by the Food and Drug Control Administration Gujarat inspected over 2,500 eateries and food units, issuing 270 notices and shutting 18 establishments. Authorities destroyed 703 kg of unsafe food while enforcing strict rules on proper labelling of paneer and its alternatives to prevent misleading consumers

According to an official statement, the teams were deployed at six key entry points, including Mulund (Anand Nagar), Mulund (LBS Road), Airoli, Mankhurd, Dahisar and Sewri
