After the BJP-led Mahayuti alliance`s landslide victory in the Maharashtra elections, leaders from the UBT (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) faction expressed strong dissent. Shiv Sena (UBT) President Uddhav Thackeray criticized the BJP for its slogan "Batenge toh katenge," implying threats against opponents. UBT leader Priyanka Chaturvedi questioned the authenticity of the election process, calling the results "surprising." Congress leader Jairam Ramesh also raised concerns, calling the results "surprisingly strange." Despite the criticism, the Mahayuti alliance, led by the BJP, delivered an impressive performance and is now set to form the government in Maharashtra. The opposition parties are still questioning the fairness of the election results.
