Dharmendra passed away at the age of 89 on November 24, 2025. The veteran actor was unwell for nearly a month and was being treated at home. The actor was cremated at the Pawan Hans crematorium in Mumbai in the presence of family members. Many from the film fraternity including Amitabh Bachchan, Aamir Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, Akshay Kumar, Shabana Azmi, Salman Khan and more arrived to pay their last respect.
